One of the more interesting projects we worked on was an algorithm that could record a bike ride, including its topology, terrain, inclines, movement, and then replay it in controlled conditions.
We built a jig for that. A kind of ride simulator, mostly used with our motocross bike. It wasn’t just motors and sensors, this thing was math-heavy. A lot of calculations, filtering, signal processing.
We could recreate the full ride and then use that simulation to optimize bike performance under repeatable, controlled conditions. It was exciting. Tech, mechanics, algorithms. My kind of playground.
