I'll start with one story.
I didn’t have a computer. I didn’t have the proper tools. But I had a strong need to understand how things worked, and a habit of disassembling anything I could get my hands on. Most of the time, that meant my toys. What I couldn’t afford, I improvised.
This photo shows my first real workbench. It’s nothing fancy, just an old table, some basic tools, and a few salvaged components. I used to save 10 or 20 kunas from birthdays or holidays just to buy a few LEDs, resistors, or maybe a pair of tweezers. That was enough. Enough to keep going. Enough to learn. Passion filled the gap where resources were missing.
I’ve decided to start sharing a full series of stories about how I became The Mr. CTO - not the brand, not the title, but the human path behind it. It wasn’t linear. It wasn’t clean. There were beautiful moments, and there were some very hard ones too. I’ve carried these stories with me for years, and now feels like the right time to put them out there.
This series will live on LinkedIn and also on this website, for those who prefer to follow along here. You can track the posts, respond, message me, or just read quietly, whatever works for you. I’ll be here. And I’ll keep sharing what I’ve lived through, what I’ve learned, and how I kept building even when nothing around me looked like success.
I haven’t shared much of this before. But if even one story helps someone, it’s worth it.
